Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Warranty Pad collects, how we use it, and how to reach us. The Service is warrantypad.com. Contact: support@warrantypad.com.
What we collect
- Account. Email, name, account type (customer or company), and company name if you provide one. Sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito.
- Warranty records. Titles, model and serial numbers, dates, coverage notes, contact emails/phones you enter, and files you upload (photos or PDFs).
- Company lists. Customer names, contact info, notes, and related warranties you add in the company portal.
- Billing. Stripe processes cards. We store subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription IDs, not your full card number.
- Contact form. Name, email, and message sent to support. That form is delivered through FormSubmit to support@warrantypad.com.
- Technical logs. Standard server logs such as time, request path, and error messages, used to run and debug the Service.
How we use it
- Provide the Service: store records, show your dashboard, and send 90 / 30 / 3 day reminder emails.
- Extract text from uploaded photos and PDFs so you can review details. Extraction uses Amazon Textract and an AI model from xAI (Grok). Uploaded document content may be processed by those providers for this purpose.
- Process subscriptions, receipts, and cancellations through Stripe.
- Reply to support requests and protect the Service against abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
Processors
We use vendors to operate Warranty Pad, including Amazon Web Services (hosting, login, file storage, email sending, and document text detection), Stripe (payments), xAI (document structuring), and FormSubmit (contact form delivery). They process data on our instructions to provide those functions.
Cookies and sessions
We use browser storage for your login session so you stay signed in while you use the site. We do not use advertising cookies.
Retention
We keep account and warranty data while your account is open. You can delete individual warranties and files in the product. If you want the account removed, email support@warrantypad.com. Backups and logs may remain for a limited time. Stripe keeps billing records as required for payments and tax.
Your choices
You can access and edit warranty records in your account, cancel a subscription from Manage billing, and ask us to correct or delete personal data by emailing support@warrantypad.com. If you are in a place with additional privacy rights, we will honor requests we are required to honor.
Children
Warranty Pad is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
Uploaded files are stored privately. Login uses Cognito. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and we will post the new version on this page.
